Hi! I’m Jessica Hitchcock!

I’m a St. Louis artist with a weakness for sprinkle covered doughnuts, a love for creating artwork that brings joy to peoples lives, and a passion for empowering entrepreneurs in their businesses.

With a bachelor’s degree in business administration and 10 years of finance experience, I’m constantly thinking of ways to share my knowledge of finance, business, and the steps I took to transition into full time artist-mode with other entrepreneurs. I want them to feel empowered in their businesses and know they can totally do this!

I’m obsessed with painting vibrant works of art, just as much as I am with numbers and business, so I’m incredibly grateful that I can do both for a living all while having a positive impact in people’s lives.

In case you’re wondering how I got to this point in my career, here’s the short version: I started painting again in 2015 and after 4 years of growing and cultivating my art business, I decided to leave my position as the Director of Finance & HR and run my business full time.

I made the transition this February 2019 and I even wrote a blog post on it.

And that’s all she wrote!

As for my artwork, the subjects vary from floral arrangements, whimsy shapes, animals, abstracts, and cityscapes, but the fact remains that they are all bright, colorful, and joy filled works of art.

I’ve licensed my artwork, I paint live at events (such as weddings), I participate in exhibitions, and I have work in 6 countries.

Thanks for reading about my story and visiting my website. I’m glad you’re here.

A few highlights…

  • I painted live during the St. Louis Zoo’s 2018 summer fundraiser and three consecutive years at Artscope’s annual WallBall fundraiser.

  • In 2018, my artwork was featured on the 2018 Georges Duboeuf wine bottles sold exclusively to Costco stores across the United States and also featured in House and Garden Magazine’s December 2017 and January 2018 issues.
